Highs and lows 2011 - Thierry Henry

Total Football editor Mark Roach continues his look at how some of football's biggest names fared in 2011.

Will it be Hooray for Henry at Arsenal?

So the prodigal son returns, but will the 2012 version of Thierry Henry live up to expectations?

It hasn't been a bad year for the legendary member of the Gunners' Invincibles.

It wasn't a fantastic 2011 for Henry's New York Red Bulls, who were 10th in the MLS and lost out in the Conference semi-finals of the MLS Cup play-offs.

But when the 34-year-old looks back at his own highlights of the last 12 months, the French maestro will be reasonably satisfied.

He was selected in the MLS Best XI and finished the year on a high as a Thierry Henry statue was unveiled at the Emirates Stadium - and the striker ended the year on a high note as he secured a two-month loan back at his beloved Arsenal.

His goalscoring return for the Bulls this year hasn't been bad either - 29 appearances, 15 goals and 15 assists.

Off the field, Henry's star was still shining in 2011. He is still the face of Renault (and had a 'Va Va Voom' look on his face during Renault's much-screened ad after watching Dita Von Teese - pictured - remove her underwear) and signed a boot deal with Puma.
