Bad boy Morrison loaned to Blues

West Ham United midfielder Ravel Morrison has joined Birmingham City on a season-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old came through Manchester United's youth system but made the move to London in January for £650,000.

The midfielder only made one substitute appearance for the Hammers last season, as they sealed promotion to the Premier League.

Teenager Morrison has also represented England at youth level.

Off the field trouble

However he has got into trouble off the pitch.

He made the headlines last year when he was fined £600 by a court for throwing his girlfriend's mobile phone through a window during an argument.

In addition to this, Manchester-born Morrison was fined £7,000 and warned about his future conduct by the FA following comments made on Twitter, after he admitted a charge of using abusive and insulting words, including a reference to a person's sexual orientation.

The midfielder becomes Lee Clark's fifth signing of the summer since taking the manager's post in June.

Peter Lovenkrands, Darren Ambrose, Hayden Mullins and David Lucas have all made the move to St Andrews so far this summer.
