Cox moves to Nottingham Forest

Simon Cox has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Nottingham Forest, after passing a medical.

The 25-year-old moves to the City Ground from Premier League side West Bromwich Albion on an undisclosed fee.

The signing of Cox is Forest's seventh summer addition to the squad.

Other new arrivals include Dan Harding, Danny Collins, Greg Halford, Adlene Guedioura and Simon Gillett.

The Republic of Ireland striker has scored 18 goals in 79 appearances for the Baggies since moving to the Hawthorns in 2009.

He has fallen further down the pecking order since the summer arrivals of Markus Rosenberg and Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea.

"I'm delighted to have signed a deal with Forest and I'm really looking forward to the task ahead," the striker told the club's website.

West Brom's sporting director Dan Ashworth said: "I would like to place on record my thanks to Coxy for his great service to the club.”
