Serie A side prepared to hand N'Gog fresh start

David N'Gog has emerged as a target for newly-promoted Serie A side Pescara, according to reports in Italy.

The Serie B champions are preparing for their first top-flight campaign in 20 years and appear keen on the former Liverpool man, who scored just three goals last season as the Trotters succumbed to relegation to the Championship.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport Pescara boss Giovanni Stroppa still believes the 23-year-old has not yet realised his potential, and could launch a bid within the coming weeks.

N'Gog arrived at the Reebok last August for a fee of £4m, after an ill-fated spell at Liverpool, and looks set to miss the season's opener against Burnley due to a back problem.
