Champions League Preview: Valencia v Bayer Leverkusen

A win for Robin Dutt’s side in Spain tonight (Tuesday) will qualify the Germans for the knockout stages providing Genk do not defeat Chelsea.

The werkself will be hoping to defeat Valencia for the second time in two weeks following their 2-1 at the Bay Arena.

Michael Ballack’s solitary goal was enough to defeat Freiburg in their last Bundesliga outing but the former Germany captain’s participation is in doubt after breaking his nose in the same game.

Leverkusen have Renato Augusto and Tranquillo Barnetta ruled out while Los Ches will definitely be without talented youngster Sergio Canales who will miss the rest of the Group E fixtures with cruciate knee damage.
