Team GB officials have confirmed that David Beckham, Gareth Bale, Craig Bellamy and Joe Cole are still being considered for Stuart Pearce's Olympics squad.

Pearce contacted more than 200 players to ask them if they would be interested in representing Team GB at the London Olympics.

The former England defender received positive responses from 191 players, and now has a shortlist of 80.

All United Kingdom constituent countries are represented in the shortlist, including Northern Ireland midfielder Chris Brunt.

Pearce will name an 18-man under-23 squad next month. He can include three over-age players.

The draw for the Olympics football tournament will be made at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday and 1.5 million remaining tickets will go back on sale.

Team GB will learn their three group stage opponents at Tuesday's draw. They are expected to be kept apart from fellow European contenders Spain, Switzerland and Belarus, plus Brazil, who are set to be a fellow top seed.

Argentina, USA and Australia are among the nations who have not qualified for the tournament.

Senegal take on Oman in a play-off for the final place in the men's competition will be decided at Coventry on Monday.
