Messi breaks Spanish scoring record

Lionel Messi has become the first player in Spanish football history to score against every other team in La Liga consecutively.

Messi captained Barcelona and scored for the 19th game in a row as Barcelona drew 2-2 at Celta Vigo.

The four times world player of the year is leading goalscorer in the top five European leagues this year with 17 goals.

He has scored 29 goals during the run and has scored a total of 56 goals in all competitions this season.

Barca are top of La Liga, 13 points clear of second placed Real Madrid with nine games left to play.

Madrid drew 1-1 in Zaragoza, as Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 113th goal in 100 matches for the reigning La Liga champions during Jose Mourinho's reign as manager.

Barcelona visit Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
